We're always looking for motivated individuals interested in joining our organization, be it the "Ski Patrol side" or "Preplanned Event side". On the Ski Patrol side, all patroller candidates are required to complete the National Ski Patrol (NSP) Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) course. This 100+ hour course is generally held at Yawgoo Valley each year, from mid-August through November. Medical professionals (EMTs, nurses, physicians) can challenge the course.

All patroller candidates must also join the National Ski Patrol and attend the annual Fall NSP OEC refresher, either at Yawgoo Valley or another ski area offering the course. All patrollers and candidates are required to sign up for at least ten, half-day pre-scheduled duty shifts per year. Assignments are made early in the season based on scheduling constraints provided by each patroller. Patrollers and candidates are welcome to patrol as often as they like in addition to their pre-scheduled shifts.

Applicants interested in helping out with just preplanned events are expected to hold some level of medical training, such as First Responder, or EMT or above. Members joining just this side of the organization have no ski patrol responsibilities, but are welcome to help out in the patrol room during the ski season.
